Protests & travel

Multiple items report protests, police deployments, and designated alternate protest grounds after Jantar Mantar removal, with traffic advisories in effect.
Fraud prevention
If approached for donations for detainees or legal aid, request official verification (website, known party contact) and decline unsolicited payment requests.
CJP issued a public warning about individuals impersonating the party to solicit money for detainees’ legal aid.
Avoiding violent incidents
In nightlife settings, stay with trusted companions, avoid escalating disputes, and move to secure public areas or contact police if violence occurs.
Recent reported fatal assault at a nightclub and a fatal assault on a metro passenger indicate elevated risk of sudden interpersonal violence in public spaces.
