Avoid known protest routes and large demonstrations in Mexico City monitor local news and official SSC/traffic updates before travel.
Use app-based or dispatched taxi services from regulated stands (do not hail on the street) allow extra travel time for possible road blockages.
Prepare for wet conditions: carry waterproof gear and expect slower surface transport and possible localized flooding.
If attending large public events (Festival de las Calaveras), plan arrival/departure around crowd times and confirm event hours and access in advance.
Follow instructions from local authorities for coastal areas (hurricane-related): shelter orders, evacuations, and official warnings.
